Steve Norris
Senior Advisor
Steve has worked in the commercial world for more than 50 years. Between 1983 and 1997 he served as a Conservative Member of Parliament and as a Parliamentary Private Secretary in the then Departments of Environment, Trade and Industry and the Home Office before being appointed Minister of Transport by John Major in 1992. Key previous roles include:
• Multiple significant business turnarounds
• Substantial experience of listed and unlisted companies having served as a non-executive director and chairman of a FTSE 300 company and two UK AIM listed companies
• Non-executive director of two NYSE listed companies
Chairman of the National Infrastructure Planning Association and Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, the Institution of Civil Engineers, the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport and the Chartered Institute of Highways and Transportation.
MA in Law from Worcester College, Oxford in 1966. Honorary Doctorate of Laws from the University of East London.
